Default Hero/player teams

So two of my friends started playing guild wars, im a war, there elementalist and ranger primaries. My question is what are some good hero combos with the above?

Minus the obvious two healer combo, im running dunkoro with a healers boon build, was thinking they should run another monk with a prot build. That leaves three slots, maybe gwen for interrupts and another elementalist for dps and an MM for meat shields or paragon for support when there arent enough bodies.

Any thoughts?

Which campaign is this? Are you doing NM or HM? If it's normal mode, go with the following;

Melee - Usually a Warrior
Melee - Usually a Warrior
Melee - Usually a campaign specific melee (Assassin in Factions, etc.)
Monk - Healer
Monk - Protector
Damage Dealer - Elementalist -> SF if the other damage dealer is Ele, otherwise general
Damage Dealer - Elementalist -> SF (if you wanna include the ranger dude put him here)
Support - Paragon is you're in later areas, the necro hench with [skill=text]Blood Ritual[/skill] does well for the early stuff.

You seem to have two physical members. Hence boosting their physical damage could be interesting.
-From Orders with a Necro,
-From Shouts with a paragon (he could use "theyre on fire!" to take benefit from your fire ele)
-From weapons, especially Splinter weapon, from a Channeling Ritualist.
-From a Smite monk, with judge's insight, if you plan to kill some undeads.
Anyway, a MM hero is quite useful whatever you choose to run. It always ease things a lot, -but only if there is corpses

Here is what I think you should do...

Your Builds

Warrior:
Use attack skills + watch yourself + disciplined stance + soldiers defense for tanking.

Ranger:
Use whatever elite you want but make sure to bring at least one interrupt (preferably 2) and bring throw dirt for AoE blind.

Elementalist:
Be a fire nuker with either Searing Flames, Savannah Heat, Mind Blast, or Elemental Attunement. If you choose to use Mind Blast or Elemental Attunement, bring Rodgorts Invocation because that skill is hax .

Heroes:

Necromancer:
Minion Master with either Flesh Golem or Jagged Bones would be best. Bring Dark Bond for added defense and blood ritual for team energy management. Personally, I like to bring bone horrors and shambling horrors as the only two animate minion spells and then use jagged to keep them up. BE SURE TO BRING BLOOD OF THE MASTER ON HIS BAR.

Elementalist (x2):
One elementalist should bring fire nukes. If the human elementalist is using Searing Flames, make this hero ele a Searing Flames as well. If the human is not Searing Flames, than make this one either the Mind Blast + Rodgorts Invocation or Savannah heat.

The second elementalist should be an earth ele with Sandstorm or Unsteady Ground. You should add churning Earth, Ebon Hawk, and Ward Against Melee.

Note: On both of the eles, you should bring the attunement of that element and Glyph of lesser energy for energy management. You may also want to make them Mesmer secondaries and bring Power Drain or Leech Signet.

Monk (x2):

One monk should be a Heal Monk. I use LoD (light of deliverance) for the elite and then add Dwayna's Kiss and Reversal of Fortune from the prot line.
I would Run the attributes for this hero at:
Healing Prayers: 12+1+1
Protection Prayers: 8+1
Divine Favor: 10+1

The Second Monk should be a protection Monk. I like to use RC (restore condition) for this monk. I would bring Gift of Health from the healing line and then reversal of fortune as well.
I would Run the attributes for this hero at:
Protection Prayers: 12+1+1
Healing Prayers: 10+1
Divine Favor: 8+1

Note: Make sure one of the monks (either one is fine) brings protective spirit. This skill should always be brought on at least one of the people in the party. I like to use an Aegis Chain on my monk heroes. This simply means that one monk casts Aegis in the beginning of the fight and then when the enchantment goes down, the second monk begins casting his aegis so that there is a constant stream of blocking the entire fight. I like to put aegis on both of my hero monks and the minion master, just in case one aegis gets interrupted. The heroes use Aegis well without you having to micro them at all.

I hope this helps and good luck

I'd go with three monks if you're just starting out new areas or else you'll end up getting rolled by monsters...

And take LoD on a hero over healers boon.

Healers boon makes dunkoro want to kill a puppy.
